Gameplay

Anomaly 2 is a real-time strategy game that takes the tower offense concept from Anomaly Warzone Earth to a new level. Maintaining the core elements of the original, Anomaly 2 adds new features to the single-player campaign and finally puts your skills to a test in a completely unique experience: the dynamic tower defense vs. tower offense multiplayer mode! In the years following the invasion of Earth in 2018, the planet is overrun by alien machines. Humankind is on the verge of extinction. Banded together in huge convoys, they search the frozen tundra for food and supplies. Since the war, the roles have been reversed: now our species seems to be the Anomaly on a machine-controlled planet. Your convoy, Commander, is called Yukon.

Gameplay

Players will initially select one of eight factions, and then gradually develop their characters, learn new skills and engage in PvE and PvP content. The game does not feature a class system, so all skills are open to choice. Only the unique Internal Skills of the Schools are restricted to each member of the specific school, such that if you leave the faction, or School, you lose the ability to use that School's Internal Skill. Internal Skills increase the player's base attributes and combat bonuses. External Skills are the game's combat skills.Quests and many other activities, including gathering, crafting and combat, give Experience points similar to other games. However, instead of the experience points accumulating to increase the level of the avatar, the experience points are converted in Cultivation points, which are then used to upgraded the player's skills. The experience points are converted into Cultivation points over time as the player stays logged into the game. The player can 'cultivate' or improve their skills by allocating Cultivation points into their skills, which are then upgraded over time as Cultivation points are added into the skill.

Gameplay

In the main story mode, players assume the role of Ghat and progress through the world of Zenozoik, visiting various locations in a linear sequence. Gameplay is presented in first-person perspective, with occasional cutscenes in third-person perspective. When the player enters certain areas, it triggers a scripted sequence, initiating a battle in which the player must defeat all enemies to proceed. Ghat is proficient in martial arts, and can dodge or counter enemy attacks. While there is a strong focus on unarmed combat, Ghat can also obtain unconventional melee and ranged weapons by several means, such as disarming enemies. Intermittent segments of the game play similarly to a linear progression shooter. In addition to the single-player story, Challenge Mode allows the player to defeat enemies while climbing a tower or descending into a pit. The results are ranked through Steam every time the player beats a tower floor's final boss.

In health-based video games, god mode, infinite health or infinite life, is a game mechanic or cheat that prevents the playing character from being harmed, sustaining damage and ultimately, dying. By contrast, invincibility orinvulnerability is a usually temporar instance of this effect, obtainable in games with it as a power-up. Activating god mode may also grant the player the ability to instantly kill enemies or other god-like powers (hence the name) that can only be attained through cheating.
